It sucks man, so sorry.
Is your car financed by any chance?

if you do get the money for the diminished value, apply towards the loan of your car. At least you reduce the interest of the loan a little bit.
If you have a better way to apply that money with something else, then do it to make you feel better (ahem, legal ways, you naughty man!)

Thanks yeah I'm definitely gonna just put that money on the loan when they pay me for it

The best production shops would be Audi certified, they are the hardest to get certified for. I would look for one of those collision shops if they do bmw work if it is not a lease, if it is a lease just have a bmw center do it.
