Seeing it next to an E46 and the 4 series earlier, the 2 looks too tall and ungainly. Wish the roofline was lower. I really want to love this car, but it's not happening naturally.

It looks like the M235i never moves. I was there two weeks ago for BMW Genius training and it's in the same spot:

Close, but note quite:

I cannot agree more with you. However, I am beginning to love it

I sort of like it yet it looks sort of dated already compared to other models in the lineup.

Non-m sport front is actually pretty good and from certain angles it looks like a pre-lci E92.

Wow!

That officially takes this car out of the running for me. I am down to the 3-series with a small chance for the 4GC and i3. Does the i3 have heads up display?

I miss the 1 Series. It looked better despite controversial headlights.

I'm not getting the hate on the rear. Not as aggressive as an a true M but the 1 Coupe was never anything flashy either.

M Performance Carbon spoiler will change the rear visual nicely.

I thought the white car pictured had black wheels at first, but upon closer inspection, it looks like its throwing out heaps of brake dust. Saves painting them I guess.
