Scary to hit 185+mph w insufficient brakes for the weight and power. Sure it's glossy and Smooth, and deceptively fast but poor brakes. And it's still and always will be a glorified Toyota. Sorry , the little 2 battles harder.

The new IS's interior feels nice, but the exterior is even uglier...

I recall I watched a video of IS-F against E92 M3 from Best Motoring, IS-F has really bad traction... The power unit is too much for the chassis.

Not surprising at all given the weight difference.

These guys are ridicolous.
And Lexus is a joke next to the 2 series, impressive car, should have done track also, the difference would've been only bigger.

Not just high altitude, they're in Boulder. That's 5,430 ft of elevation, at a minimum. In all their videos, they appear to be outside of town, which usually means an increase in elevation when you're in the Denver/Boulder area. HP loss at these altitudes is horrible. Fortunately, we can do the math:

loss = (415 HP x 5,430 ft x 0.03)/1,000

By that equation (which I found online), you're looking at around 68 HP loss for the IS-F, knocking it down to the 345 HP range, instead of the sea level 416 HP. Edmunds lists the curb weight for the IS-F at over 3700 lbs. The M235i is about 200 lbs lighter, and has a turbocharger, which all but negates the loss due to altitude. Not to mention, the M235i is only a couple of tenths behind even at sea level because the turbocharged engine has a fatter power curve in the lower RPM range.

Add all this up and the IS-F never stood a chance at that altitude.

Anyone have any videos of an E92 M3 vs 135i at these altitudes? I'm wondering if the results would be similar. The M3 would suffer similar HP losses.

Get out of my head!

These guys and the "Everday Driver" guys drive me insane. How are they benefiting financially giving their opinions on cars?

Oh I disagree with that. I actually quite like the Everday Driver guys. At least those guys don't try to be funny 24/7 (and failing miserably like these idiots). They are the kind of guys at a bar that would laugh at their own jokes, while everyone rolls their eyes.

The is-f has a piss-poor transmission

Also, the new turbos will have carbon injector/buildup issues, fuel pump issues

But yes the M235i is a wolf in sheep's clothing

It does sound better but just tinier. Back to the OP, very impressive from the M235i once again. This car is a BEAST. And I say this after actually driving one.

I'm annoyed after seeing them here for the first time. They crack themselves up.

It is impressive, makes me wonder if and when the M2 comes out, how much better will it be compared to the M235i and M3/M4 and will the increased performance be worthy of the increased price tag... I guess those questions will be answered in a couple years... But seems like the M235i is the best bang for the buck.

Nice comparison and very interesting results.

On the other hand, I really don't like these 2 guys... I have not once felt like they add any value w/ their "review" videos.
