OBD Powered BlackVue Dashcam - anyone seen or tried this?
Realize a lot of us use our OBD port for a variety of things including tunes and torque pro and whatnot, but has anyone tried this? Especially with our fuse box and battery in the rear this looks like it could make life insanely easy by comparison.

Not sure I would trust the 12v cutoff circuitry on something like this. I just did a dashcam install and went with a battery (Cellink) just to avoid any risk of low battery warnings but would have gone with the Power Magic Pro if I didn't. At least it's a proven product.

I'm sure you're much better off with what you did - but if this thing actually works it would be great.

My dashcam power is coming off a tapped fuse (branch circuit) in trunk. Dashcam and wires are virtually invisible and it come on only when car is on. Not sure what is the point of wasting the entire OBD2 port to get 12V.

Why does everyone run wires to the trunk? My blacksys 100B is hardwired to the front fuse box.
