I haven't heard any complaints of this, it never happened to our shop car but it isn't out of the realm of normal behavior for cold start on a DFI engine. If these are stock cars I wouldn't worry too much, if it is tuned I would say perhaps the tuner is playing with stuff at idle that is better left alone.

My vehicle is stock and it shakes a little from a cold start. I've read of other people noticing this too, which leads me to conclude that it's normal.

Idle RPM is the same before and after a tune unless someone requests a higher idle RPM. This can be done and should be done in a couple of cases:

1. There is an aftermarket sound system or other auxillary powered device that draws a lot of power from the car (higher idle will prevent lights flickering and stalling)

2. In a manual transmission car that has a lightweight flywheel that may tend to stall or become extremely noisy at stock idle RPM.

An idle bump will help greatly in both situations, but is really of no consequence to the vast majority of F-series cars on the road.

Matt
Seen some flashed cars from various tuners (not sure from GSR) that the idle is a bit different than stock.

For ex, stock the car jumps to 1100-1300 rpm or so then after 30 secs starts slowly down to 770rpm.. On the flash cars I've seen it jumps to 1000 but immediately goes idle to 850-890rpm and stays there. Regardless of temp.

It also seems in colder temps (North Eastern) the cars are having sometimes a longer crank, not sure if this has happened to any warm/hot climate flash tuned cars.

What are your thoughts ?
What are the idle rpms you are seeing in other Pre & Post N20's ?

Thanks

My tuner made cold start off for my car, but when it is cold outside I had some rpm waves. Then the tuner adjusted a little higher rpm during cold start and my car is starting up good in the morning. So the problem can be solved by any tuner who offer cold-start-off option

Could you post the before and after rpm that is idling at ?
But yes cold-start delete looks like it avoids the loud(higher idle at initial) but don't think thats good for cold temps.
Initial Cold-Start should be same as stock (Loud) 1200rpm and slowly settle down to whatever (700-900)

I think it is hard to notice a little bit higher rpm. We began adding it from a little. If the weather will be colder and I'll have problems with cold start I know that I need only to add some more idle rpm.

You had to add gas on the first video? It looks like it almost stalled?
That looks around 700 rpm idle ?

before flash with DP it would stay at 1100-1200 for 30 seconds then drop to 750 slowly, after flash it goes up to 1000 then goes immediately to 880-900 idle

It was the Dinan Intake, but still have CEL.
Taking to dealer one last time then back to Enzo...maybe one tune doesn't fit all?!

Sorry, still haven't figured out how to upload/post you tube clips directly. Anyway, she starts out at 1200 and drops right to 800 or so...exhaust tone is always consistent now.
