I recently got "Chassis stabilization: Drive moderately, and Increased steer. effort. Drive moderately" code.. The Dealer says it is my electronic steering rack. I got quoted at 4k for them changing it and "programing" it to the car, and getting an alignment.

The car feels fine driving, in sport mode it seems like there was nick every now and then.. I have wider front rims. 18x8

I could not delete the codes using a Autel scanner.. On your program (E-sys software) can I code out the steering rack? so I don't have to replace the steering rack? Or if I buy and used rack, can I "program" it to my car??

The scanner read :ESP control unit. Fault, rotor position sensor (steering angle index). belt jump detected.

I wouldn't drive with a broken steering rack.

For programming the control unit you need ISTA if you buy a used one you will need to program it but you need to know what you are doing

Funny thing I got mine replaced under warranty as there was a knocking sound when shuffling steering left and right quickly or sometimes over bumps

If you code out hardware, it will not work.

Personally, I would not want to drive around with malfunctioning steering.

Also, I noticed M2 Cluster have digital clock on the right corner of the cluster. Can we code in the M235i/ M240i cluster?
To contribute to this community, let me answer my own question

1) The fuel consumption gauge unit can be switched via setting on idrive.

2) The digital clock can be added via following code on KOMBI:

BASISANZEIGE_VARIANTE" to "aktiv"

VO coding is used to add or remove factory options. E-sys takes care of making necessary changes. Cheat sheets do not exist for VO coding, other than those for NGHB.

NBT is not found in FA. NBT is found in SVT.

Not how it works.

609 is pro navigation. That can be CIc, nbt, or nbt2 depending on production Year and chassis.

6ns is just another vo code.

Hey folks,

hope you all doing well.
I am Coding since i got my M235i in 12/15.
Last week i got an ECU update, cause Connected Drive hasn`t had Internet connection anymore.
So yesterday tried to Code all my stuff again and most of them worked.
But i am not able to change the blink indicator amount anymore.
Had werte=04 before and now it doens`t change in any case.
I also figuered out that the "lane changing warning" is changed from factory. It is now activated only above 70km/h

Any idea?

terrible advice, other stuff is awesome

[QUOTE=pikcachu;16118577]Put together a cheat sheet for the F22....
If you have corrections or additions let me know....
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwv...it?usp=sharing
Last update: 6/27/2016

READ IMPORTANT NOTES:

1) NEVER click "Code Default Values" it can reset important stuff and car might not start and need to get towed to the dealer to fix the software
2) Make sure you click "Code FDL" and not "Code" (clicking code will reset the car to the factory setting erasing all the FDL coding for the selected ECU)
3) Always code with the car running or with a commercial grade charger connected to it, else voltage might drop during coding and you could get unexpected errors. (if you are codding the DME ECU you can't have the car running so you will need a charger)

NEVER code or program a vehicle with the engine running. ac ripple from the alternator can cause data corruption and lead to a paperweight of a car.
power supply that delivers 14.4 DC volts at 100 amps is recommended. ac voltage should be minimal to none.
turn off all accessory loads ie ac blower, lighting radio etc

do not change vehicle status while writing data ie touching doorhandles, opening doors, cycling ignition(unless instructed) etc

I am not sure if it is the right section for this question, but at least you guys should have the equipment to check.
Could someone readout the relative throttle pedal position right before the kick-down?
I installed the kick-down blocker from Burger and the Torque App gives me a max. value of 83%. Is this fine or do I have to shorten the blocker?

Quick question

My car was serviced and all values defaulted. I have new laptop and just installed E-Sys 3.27.1 as well as Launcher 2.8.2.
I ran the launcher, generated key etc, everything seems to work, but my resolution is all screwed up. I can fix this but running Esys.exe file in different mode. Do I need to run launcher? Will Esys not work if I run .exe file? And is so, how do I fix resolution if running Launcher is necessary?

I think you have to check the box on the launcher option screen for 'high resolution fix'. I recall having to do this for a laptop with a high resolution screen. Most of the time I use one that is a few years old and it never had the issue.
