Interesting I would think it would touch the front and not the back since its 4 pistons vs 2 at the back.

Did a road run (60+ kmph) dry 5 celsius night sport mode and highway run (120+ kmph) in the rain 12 celsius afternoon comfort mode... handling ok def a difference from the Michelin PSS so need to adjust and road noise as expected with any winter tire

bump. We are possibly looking to pick up an additional BMW (228i) and would also be wondering what the recommended specs are for wheels and tires.
I have a set of 18x8 225/45/17 laying around.

So I ended up buying a new set of 17" rims and went with Michelin X-Ice XI3 tires in 225/45/17. So far they are great on dry pavement and in the rain, with no huge drop off in performance unless you really start driving fast and hard. What surprises me is that the performance is as good as it is seeing these are Michelin's hardcore snow and ice tire and not part of the Pilot line up of performance snows. There calling for up to 6" of snow in my area tomorrow, looking forward to trying them out in the snow and trying out the xDrive

Anyone who got the OEM 380 17" wheels... how much did you end up paying for the set? I'm looking at ordering through my dealer and was hoping to get an idea of cost.
