Upper coolant return hose: anything better

REF: https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-4...uine-bmw-part/

Besides the POS OEM plastic crap (above), are there better alternatives in the market for a more durable version?

No, there is not. It's a $40 part that takes 2 minutes to replace. You should replace it every 5 years or so. I wouldn't sweat it much as you probably will only replace it once before selling the car.

$41.89 for genuine BMW or $28.39 for the Rein hose from FCP Euro. With their lifetime replacement warranty it is the last time you'll pay for one! You'll need to add something else to the order to reach the $49 free shipping threshold.

Thanks for all the responses.

Just installed the new one. Let's hope nothing else is leaking.
I'm hoping to run the M235xi to 100K miles, at the least ...
She's in her 60,000+ miles on the odometer.

I replaced mine at 75,000km, it was fine. I think this is overblown, it usually brakes upon removal at least mine did

I think a lot of them break or get fatigued from people installing air intakes and inadvertently leaning on the line, etc. when working in the area. Some people are a bit like animals when working on cars and push their luck man-handling things.

I replaced my line at 60K miles and 6 years of age. It still looked brand new and came off no problem. I've owned the car since new.

I soaked mine in silicone for 10 min and gently pulled it and it broke and I live in the frozen north so it wasn’t exposed to much heat.
