Coding active sound of M4 and other models into M135i / M235i

I know where everyone is coming from but isnt an exhaust is just as bad as AS? I myself love exhaust notes and have been modding cars for years (exhaust is one of the must-do mods). While exhaust is changing hardware and this AS is changing the software...its the same idea. At least you're not bothering anyone with AS as its only in the interior.

You have a point that can be debated and there is some grey area but digitally enhancing and changing it is just a place where my mind just says.... Too far.

The comparison for me between physical and digital mods is like a girl on a dating site taking different pictures with different dresses and lighting until she finds the picture that makes her look the best. AS is the same girl photoshopping herself. Taking 20 lbs of, stretching her breasts, altering her eye color etc. It has crossed the line from representing herself in the best light to altering how she looks.

I will admit that while I was disabling the ASD that it would be interesting to hear what some of the other options sounded like. With the system off now I really want to get a better exhaust system because the 235i is way too quiet for my taste.

I could not see ASD01 on my October 2014 car. it has full HK audio and Pro nav but couldn't find it, so maybe not

Took the car out today with the F82 model and S55 engine coded on my car with HK.

It turned ASD off. The car is so quite in any mode, including Sport and was no longer fun to drive.

Will change model code to F80 tomorrow and see if that makes the ASD active again, else I will go back to stock settings.

Change model to F80 and ASD was still off. Switched back to F022/N55B30 and the ASD is back to factory sound.

I tried the S66 engine today , it turned the ASD off in my car, tried it with the follwoing models F10, F06, F12, F13. I also tried it with competition pack on and still resulted in ASD being off. So i set it back to the S55 and F80 and it worked again. Im actually liking the S55 more the longer i have it set,

Do you have regular stereo, or Harman Kardon system? Maybe I should try again and change my stereo to setting to standard and see if that works.

you can try ML UL there should be in a drop down... 03 is OL so 00, 01, 02 might make it quieter
