Have it on our Pathdinder...never even look at the damn thing. I still use my mirrors and the natural swiveling of my neck to make sure nothing is behind me😜

I definitely picked this option because of the wife. We'll find out if she'll actually use it.

I got the nav for everything that comes with the navigation, not for actual GPS Navigation. (if that makes sense) |

My only regret, not going for the 235.

If you are really performance-orientated (I am, too) there is a Dinan Stage 2 tune for the M235. It's expensive but I think it will get you 0-60 in 4 seconds flat. I have a fully-loaded 228i with Dinan Shockware (not available yet for the M235) and the Stage 1 (there's no Stage 2 yet for the 228i) which my gut tells me gets the car from 0 to 60 in about 4.5 sec. For me, the best thing about both cars is the adaptive suspension, which I believe is standard on the 235, and the 8AT.

I regret not getting the backup camera. It will be standard on all cars in a few years.

Same here, but I really didn't want the ugly proximity sensors that came with it.

Couple things have changed since the 2014 MY. The 2016 has more standard features, and even the 2015 has bluetooth streaming standard, which would have been nice. My only regret is that even though I ordered the DHP, and the optional wheels, I wish I had ordered the Sport line, mainly for the sport seats. Other than that no regrets, as I pretty much ordered it the way I wanted it with Premium package, Driver's Assistance, Headlight package, Heated seats, etc. Nav would've been nice (especially since in 2014 that was the only way to get BT streaming), but I have no regrets about not spending $2100 for it.

I only regret some of the MY2014 standard equipment. I cannot express how much I do not want to have headlight washer on my car. They add weight, put additional holes in my bumper and are only good at covering the front end of my car washer fluid. Not a fan.

I believe headlight washers were part of a package as they were definitely not standard on my 2014.

Really? My car has them and I hardly notice them. At least I'm sure those little buttons are much less obtrusive than a big dent after you run into something.

Packages in Australia are slightly different, a lot comes standard here... Only things I didn't get was the HK sound and driving assistance (lane change warning, brake assistant etc)
Overall no regrets as HK system isn't that great and I've never had the driving assistant so don't really know what I'm missing out, but would be cool to try

You will find that a lightly optioned car will hold its value. Either keep the options skinny or load it up. Never go middle of the road. The best thing about keeping the options light on a BMW is that it will hold its value. Don't fret not having the options. Why? Because, you will make out on the back end. This means you can load up your next vehicle with the money you saved and the value you maintained by keeping the options light on your current vehicle. |

Does anyone regret ordering too many options?
I sure do. I wish I didn't get the $3700 Premium package which includes: Sunroof that I don't want (weight) GPS that I don't use Electric Seats that I never really need to adjust Heated Steering wheel (gloves anyone) Rear parking sensor and camera (the ONLY thing i want) |
