when is a manufacturer going to remove those rear red reflectors and just incorporate the area with the diffuser. it'll look so great with the carbon fiber going up the 1in more.

car looks amazing and i hope to one day get the m235i in xdrive and put down power like this! Thanks for sharing!

i have questions,

Custom suspension

245/275 tires on 8.5/10.5 light weight rims (15/16 lbs)
Custom LSD

this car looks perfectly lowered and the fit of the tires fills out just as nicely... but it would be too wide for a regular 235 is that right? i see extended lips for both the rear and front wheel wells, how is that installed?

Actually the guys at Tuningwerk.de told me they will lower the car another 25 to 50mm's this week. I told them that I thought the car looked PERFECT the way it sat. We compromised, by kidding around saying they could lower it another 25mm's.

These guys know a thing or two about setting up a track car. But this M235i really drove very well even on the streets of Regensberg. Btw... you might know their work... bc they also build most of the Safety Car's for BMW AG. They also build track toys for their special VIP customers.

New pistons, crankshaft, rods, balanced and blue printed engine. Thermo coatings(everywhere). New beefier radiator(2cm thicker than stock) new larger oil cooler and FMIC. PPK HD radiator fan and aux water radiator. Different turbo and DME sw to run on 98 to 102 octane pump fuel(available at most GErman gas stations). And the engine's oil system was totally reworked to work for the high G-forces w/using slicks or semi slicks. The oil pan was a custom piece bc they couldn't use the S55's oil pan bc the front sway bar interferes on the M235i compared to the F8x cars.

These guys make 600 to 700 PS 1M's. The owner had a X5M with 800 PS and 1,100 Nm of Tq. Its no BS. These guys know how to make a engine produce power AND last. And they are working very closely with BMW AG. We are looking forward to testing some of their "other" tuned cars and making a full report for our Bimmerpost.com readers in the near future.

Hate the wing and the cheap looking decal down the side under the shoulder line. That decal is on roughly the same level as what some kid might do to a Dodge Neon.

Beyond those two minor things, however, this car is absolutely perfect. I love it. I really hope the 1M is something like this, though I doubt it will make as much power as this car.

Special DTC and DSC reprogramming - does this mean that it is completely turned off? Any more info?

I'm loving the wider stance. Looks like new fenders and bumper in the front, but what are they using for the rear, bolt on fenders molded in?

Great to hear about all the power upgrades as well!

They told me that the M235i is the first BMW that you can NOT turn (fully) off the DSC! Even when it's off... it can come back on, when things get a little bit out of control. They reprogramed the DTC to not engage the e-diff so much. When you are in Sport+ it is totally off. The DSC also has been re calibrated to Tuningwerk's specs. They also use a recalibrated Drexler LSD with different geometry and reworked locking clutches. They don't like how hard the OE drexler diff locks up, so they massage it to work a little bit more smoothly in it's lock up action.

Even with all the power this M235i car had... the DTC light barely came on/flashed. They had made one hell of a great chassis here. Just as with a traditional ///M car... the car is more than a sum of its parts. This car worked as one unit. Every part(component) complemented each other and worked in harmony. You can't ask for anything more. And the level of craftsmanship of this car was on par with the BMW factory. It wasn't your typical "tuner" car.
