Do Canadian 2's have TPMS or FTM?
Does the Canadian model have TPMS or FTM. I know that my Z4 had FTM, while US versions had TPMS. This matters when it's time to place your order for new wheels etc.

If you wanted to run an aftermarket setup without any sensors they work just fine as well. I'm running OEM 225m wheels without sensors and I don't get any warnings whatsoever.

At one point last year I had to swap off one of my wheels for a different one to act as a spare and it gave me tire pressure warnings and locked out sport and sport+ modes. I'm pretty sure there are sensors in there...

It wouldn't reset, just chimed that it was unable to reset. I didn't bother buying the sensors, its a waste of money imo. If I can't feel a flat, I probably shouldn't have a license.

In the last few years, cars imported by BMW Canada do not have TPMS sensors installed in the wheels. It's all done through the ABS system. The FTM needs to be reset when conditions change (wheels, tires, pressures, etc.).

That's not the case with these cars, there are some equipped with TPMS.

Mojo you are the first person in Canada i have heard of having TPMS. Can you share some details of your order.
AWD? All Season versus MPSS? My April 2014 bought (so very early) M235i with MPSS RWD has FTM. |

Same time frame as yours, picked it up early April 2014, every option. Mine came with the RFT, which is probably why. I swapped them out for PSS and the wider 8" rear wheel. When I had the PSS mounted the tire shop said they swapped the sensors over. I have a set of 3 series 17s I ran in the winter and the tire reset would never work. Put my summers on this spring and the light disappeared when I reset it.

just set HU_NBT 3001 RDC to nitch_aktiv that disables TPMS and next 2 enable FTM HU_NBT 3001 RPA to aktiv and HU_NBT 3001 REIFENUEBERWACHUNG_RDC_RPA to RPA maybe you should actually disable both... cause you might get some light if you enable FTM and don't have the hardware so maybe HU_NBT 3001 RDC to nitch_aktiv HU_NBT 3001 RPA to nitch_aktiv and HU_NBT 3001 REIFENUEBERWACHUNG_RDC_RPA to nitch_aktiv Won't be responsible if your wheels set on fire though |
