Yeah, I was originally making the call based on a nice shot of the center console piece. I think I see what you mean, but I'd really need to see it in person. Unless it's absolutely terrible in person, I still think I'd just deal with the fakery. For some reason the aluminum trims just don't do anything for me, especially as I lean toward the Terra interior. Maybe if I were to do black + aluminum. But Mineral Grey + black leather + aluminum trim sort of bores me.

I'll stick some pics of mine up in march, it's mineral grey, black leather and brushed alloy. Other thought was ill probably get performance seats at some point so black will match.

I have Min grey/Black on order. Thank you for the pic. They've been hard to come by.

It was such a hard choice to make - AW or MG. I went with AW.

Nonetheless, Mineral Gray is going to look mean with M Performance Grill and black wheels!

Coral red is too bright for me personally but I like it better in the 2 without any of the dash red vs the 4.

Anyone going with M Performance kits?

I'm certain to upgrade to sports exhaust and rear diffuser. Wheels and front diffuser not so sure, and the side stickers only look good on the AW from what I've seen of the 3/4 series, oddly BMW official pics always with Alpine white too.

Speaking of which, bit mean in the uk, metallic paint is an up charge even though 235i 6 cyclinder grr.

I'll be getting the performance carbon spoiler but not sure about the rest. Hate the performance wheels so will probably get some 19" bbs or forgestars

yes the wheel design doesn't work too well on those 19s on the 2. The similar syle 20s on the 3/4 I love!

I was afraid to get this color because of the way I thought the wheels might look in combination - but this looks great. Can't wait to see some more.

I've currently got a MG/CR 235 in the pipeline, but I keep waffling about the CR seating. Part of me likes it but part of me wonders if I'll get tired of it... I plan on keeping the car for a long time, so I'm wondering if I should just do black. Oy!

I here ya... I was never much of a fan of aluminum trims, always opting for wood. The nicest by far was the grey poplar (blackish wood w real wood grain), albeit I've only had the murtle brown wood. The hexagon aluminum is nothing special (and comes with the blue highlight, which probably is a no-no). The brushed aluminum is kinda sporty though, with the black highlight. A real tough call, but I find that BMW's latest wood trims don't look like real wood, which kinda sucks.

You can get black gloss with the hexagon...

I think I could handle CR once in a while, but it might get old everyday. But hey, everyone is different - whatever makes you happy is what you outta go with.

Yep, good point. I'm now leaning towards the hexagon (its not as raised/embossed as on the outgoing 335is but still looks better than plain brushed aluminum) on high gloss black highlight w MW on Terra combo. The blue highlight is just too far out there I think. The wood trim is apparently real wood but just doesn't look that great - too bad, cause normally black wood is hot.

I currently have a AW/CR 335is and I too was concerned about what it would be like to drive a car with a red interior everyday. Having come from only ever having black or tan interiors red seemed pretty extreme. I can tell you now that after a year of ownership I love it. I haven't gotten tired of it at all and in fact I am ordering my M235i in MG/CR. As it turns out the Apline White exterior is what I got tired of not the Coral Red interior.

You'll like the MG (basically same as sparkling graphite metallic) - could have a slight mauve hue in sunlight but not a deal breaker. As for CR interior, way too out there for me, but kudos to you if you like it.
