My Mid Life Crisis Car is Here!

Ok, so I'm not really having a mid-life crisis, but I picked up my 2015 M235i today. Easy to get all the tech set up, I really like that BMW seems to have gotten it right on using all the goodies. Loaded my music up via usb drive, etc.
The car has every factory package (heated seats instead of cold weather), and a bunch of the bmw m appearance stuff as well (valence, rear tips, stainless pedals, black grill, etc). It was a fun drive home. Very early impression is that the car is fun, pretty firm (I guess I forget how firm my e92 m3 was) but not too firm, and quick when you get on it. I was a bit worried about the MW color, but I think I'm going to like it. In the sun it looks especially good imo. Here are some pics taken just now. The car is not perfectly clean, but this is the only break in the rain so I decided not to wait for a really sunny day.

Also have mineral white and it's interesting in that under different kinds of light bulbs or different times of day the color surprises you.
And doesn't the car transform between comfort and Sport drivetrain/chassis mode?

Nice man. Looks great me and a buddy both have m235i's here in the Bay Area. If you think about mods let me know I can recommend a few spots. Definitely get her tinted

I sold the M3 about 2 years ago and bought an X3 msport since I'm up in the mtns so much these days. It is great, but I missed having a smaller, fun car...so got the bug and bought this m235i. So far it seems like it is going to be a lot of fun. Thanks gang!

Congratulations. I suggest you set speed alert for some prudent level like 75, so you have a warning that you've forgotten to check speed - saved me from 'complications' several times already.

I was on a business trip and took 2 customers and their wives to dinner. It turns out all had recently entered into their second marriage and most of the talk was of their exs. One woman said that if she had known her ex was going through a mid-life crisis, she would have left him buy the sports car. Finally someone asked about my marital status and I said I had been married to the same woman for 30 years. They asked me the secret to that longevity and I replied "I bought the sports car".

I've been married for 32 years now....

We're fortunate I can afford this. I know it's not a porsche, but this is enough for me. And clearly I'm also fortunate that my wife is letting me do this. She's really scratching her head as to why I 'need' a little car, but I'm thankful that she also realizes this isn't a big deal.

Going on 38 years, and I went along with her desire for a big/heavy/sedate Audi A6 in drab dark blue, and she supported me (but still teases) that I have two orange cars, the 2 and the winter Subaru. My two together equal the cost of hers, so it works! Love and Marriage!!

We just celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary. We met in high school, so we've actually known each other for 53 years.

Right after we retired 5 years ago, we started looking for a replacement for her 10 year old Ford Explorer. She indicated that another Explorer might be in our future, but when I pointed out the new 2012 model in a parking lot, she balked. Too big, too fat looking. So, that opened the door for me to shop for a new SUV for her. When I took her for a test drive in a 2012 Mercedes Benz GLK350 4-Matic, she was sold on the spot. She absolutely loves the car.

Two years later, my Mazda RX-8 hit the 10 year mark, so I started shopping again. I got my M235i without a quibble.
