Hi, I'll be picking up my 2016 M235i in about a week and wanted to confirm what standard accessories should be in the car when it arrives.

Is this what I should expect?

Cargo net
First aid kit
Safety vests
Emergency triangle

Anything else?

I took deliver from a US Dealer and all I had was the Cargo Net in the trunk. This was a 228i, but doubt it makes a difference. The safety items all sound like Euro delivery items. However, I am not an expert. Just know what I received at my July 2015 delivery in NC.

You won't get these in the US:

Emergency triangle

But mine did come with a dead spider on the rear seat.

Yep, cargo net and floor mats is what you get in the US.

The front license plate bracket will be bagged in the trunk as well. Be sure to inform the dealer well ahead of time if you want it attached or not.

Unless of course you live in a state that requires front plates, in which case it WILL be installed by law, unless you specifically request BEFORE the car comes in to not drill the plate.

If you make the request 30 minutes before picking up the car it'll be too late and you'll be one of the guys on here asking how to find bumper plugs.

Thankfully, my dealer didn't install it. When I picked up the car, they said it was in the trunk and that they'd install it if I wanted it. 2 months of driving without it in Virginia with no problems. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good luck, VA is the worst. I went to VA Tech and averaged more tickets in 1 year than I have in the rest of my life. The Commonwealth needs all the money it can get.

You maaaaay get lucky and find a BMW USB charger in the trunk; it's typically stuck in the space normally taken up by the Mobility Kit next to the battery. That said, the vast majority of them are taken out of the car at port and (likely) resold.

Otherwise, yeah: us Murrcans get shafted regarding accessories -- probably because BMW NA knows many will actually pay additional for 'em ...

It is indeed, the worst. I'm amazed that USAA still insures me.
