M235i Exhaust Tip Alignment Dowel Orientation

Hi,

Is the dowel at 12 o'clock?

I am looking to get some BMS chrome angled exhaust tips for when my F23 M235i arrives so just wondering.

Many thanks!

They are the slip-on type, just like the factory OEM M235i tips - with spring devices inside the tip to hold the tip on securely.
They can be removed (OEM and BMS) easily with a few short hits/pounds of a rubber mallet. Other than that they are on securely.

Thanks for the replies. I am suspecting that the orientation changed from 45 to 0 on more recent models.

I am from the UK so hopefully this is the same here too.

Only the 2014 model year M235i has the 45º offset alignment dowel.
Every 2015 & 2016 M235i has the straight up and down alignment dowel.

No worries..

Does anyone know if the BMS tips are long enough to fit with a M-P diffuser? This is literally the only thing holding me back from purchasing and I can't seem to get an answer!

I had the MP Diffuser port installed and bought the BMS tips to replace the ///M tips and found that the BMS tips don't fit because at the port they seemed to have just cut off the existing tip and pipe and just clamped the ///M tip and longer pipe onto the cut part.. thus removing that "dowel" that's necessary for the BMS tips.
