Part number for rear rim (m235, staggered 18")

My rim is damaged from an accident last week, looking for the part number for new one.

Might want to try picking up one from the classified section. They come up every so often, especially when people switch to afternarket. Has to be way cheaper than getting one from the dealer. Just a thought.

Part # is 36117845871, assuming you are looking for Ferric Grey and not Orbit Grey.

I agree with pz619, and I would also add that if you Google the part number you will almost certainly find BMW dealers selling brand new ones at a significant discount, plus it's very possible you will likely find used rim dealers selling used ones. I've seen them on Ebay from time to time too.

They go for around $400 new. Obviously I'm trying to see if I can save a few bucks, I already posted in classified.

Is it Orbit Grey?

BMW Parts had told me that Orbit Grey rims can't be ordered, only the silver. I couldn't find a part number for them either.

Hey, just wanted to make sure this is the part number for the rear 18x8 rim, not the 17x17.5 front rim.

This isn't correct. Last month my dealer ordered and got me an Orbit Gray front wheel in a day. My car has the staggered wheels with the PSS tires.

That said, it was hard to get a part number and the one I found was apparently incorrect. The dealer got the right part for me using my VIN.

The front wasn't the problem, it was the wider rear rim. They were told by BMW NA that they can only get it from the factory. I went round and round with them. I ended up just getting the silver and getting them powder coated.

He asked me if I wanted to get a rear too since I hit a pothole on one side of the car, they were in stock in the northern California distribution center.

I bit the bullet and ordered a new rim. Afraid of used ones, because many of them are remanufactured, and I don't trust these.

Do you have a part number for the orbit grey 18x8 rims? If that's the case, I'm going to demand the dealership pay for the powercoating. I had originally ordered and paid for a set of the orbit grey staggered wheels and tires. When they came in, they tried to tell me they were the correct color. When my car arrived from the factory with orbit grey wheels, it was obvious they were wrong. After waiting a week while they tried to order the right ones, they gave up and offered to take them to get powdercoated. I'd have to cover the cost of the powdercoating.

I got my new rim delivered today and it has both Ferric gray and Orbit gray stamped on the back!

The wheel itself is Ferric gray, which is what I wanted.

Well that won't cause confusion.

LOL, yes, I actually had the rim replaced today, and the old rim aslo has both Ferric and Orbit gray stamped on it.

Also, I bought another full set of rims, this time in Orbit gray. Figured I'm going to keep the Ferrics for winter tire setup and Orbit for summer. The Orbit gray also has both Ferric and Orbit stamped on it.

Makes me wonder what kind of BS my dealer is telling me. Apparently, I spent $700 to have them powder-coated for nothing.

When you say it had both Ferric and Orbit stamped on it, exactly what do you mean? I just assumed Orbit would be a different part number?
