I ran into the same thing. Ordered the 2015 front mats (part # 444101) for my 2016. They fit perfect.

That's weird. The Canadian WeatherTech website does show the BMW 2016 2-Series (F22/F23) FloorLiner™ DigitalFit® - Laser Measured

For the xDrive folks, just be aware the mats are different than those for the RWD. Must be something to do with the size of the transmission tunnel.

Floor mats not floor liners

I just got a pair of WeatherTech all-weather floor mats for my M235x and installed them today. The floor mats, unlike the liners, have no bright logo on them, just Weathertech across the back in raised letters on the rubber, which is hardly noticeable. They cost half of what the floor liners cost and are not nearly so slippery.
Oddly, they do not show that they are available for the rear, but I have passengers there so infrequently that it is not a big concern.
So far so good. Waiting for the big snow over the weekend.

I have them in another car. Only problem I've found is that because they don't have the high sides like the Floorliner, the salt and snow get past the edge and on to the carpet. They're excellent, though, and are easy to clean. The salt on the carpet isn't, however.

I just got the floor liners and I expected them to be a bit deeper. There's no raise in the back like my prior set so it definitely doesn't hold as much water and slush as I expected. unforunately there's probably not going to be snow Til next year so I wouldn't know how well they work.

Liners and fasteners.

Thanks for this. Saw the slot on the Velcro pad, and wrongly assumed this was something I might have to cut open to make a slot for the T-hook fastener.

I tried gently to twist the Velcro bit out, and it didn't budge, but I'll go at it with a screwdriver, and hope for easy removal.

BTW, without fastening the back down as directed, and having installed them this AM for the ride to work, I'm not really thrilled yet. The rear lip of the liner doesn't inspire confidence that snow and slush will be contained.

Worse off, so far, without the clips, a very annoying tendency for clutch and brake to hit the liner, or catch it and hang up the pedals a bit.

Alex.

I do like Weathertech stuff in general, though. Had mats and trunk liners in my old 4Runner.

I got the OEM's. My shoes slide on the Weathertech mats in my X3 but not in the 228 and they look nicer and fit perfect IMO.

Mine are continually covered in dirt and mud so I could care less how they look. (Even the snazzy logos). They keep all that dirt off my carpet.

The good:
  • They do fit perfectly.
  • The locking system dropped right into the existing slits in the floor.
  • They're deep enough to hold a fair amount of slush.
  • They'll prevent the salt stains that appeared on the carpet mats after our one storm so far from repeating.

The bad:
  • Black rubber mats are unattractive by definition.
  • They squeak against the heels of work boots.
  • Anything you leave on the passenger side floor slides all over the place.
  • Big, bright, glossy, inset logo.
  • $18 shipping. Seriously?

Still and all, the good should overcome the bad. They'll come out the same time my snow tires come off, however.
Any photos of the mats in the car?

Thank you! I thought I was taking crazy pills when I couldn't find them for my MY16. Ordered.

FYI, to anyone else looking, WT mats are a bit cheaper on Amazon and shipping is free. I think I saved 28 bucks on the front mats (P#444101) not ordering them from WT directly.

I believe you're thinking of the OEM BMW all-weather mats and not the WeatherTechs. WeatherTech mats for our cars only come in solid black, grey and and tan.

I can't find the blue on the BMW site, only the red. http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/49...HER-FLOOR-MATS

Stick a coin in the slot and turn it. Comes out very easily.

Do use the included weathertech hooks. The mats are inherently slippery and without the hook retainers, it could be dangerous in emergency situations.

Full Liners in...

Well, I got the full set of liners, front rear and trunk for 1015 228.

I really don't care for the feel or look of them, but on the other hand, I think they will do a GREAT job keeping the slush, snow, salt and in autumn now, the crinkly cruddy leave bits that grind into the carpet other wise. Already keeping the car cleaner for having them in place vs the factory carpets.

For summer driving though, they will come out as soon as possible except for the rear trunk one. Its nice to keep that in place imho.... I carry too many random things that would scuff up the rear trunk appearance. That part is worth its weight in gold.

Comments regarding using the factory hooks are correct, wouldn't want them in there without them, its critical really.

Alex.

Well... not in gold, but I like the trunk liner a lot.

Does the Weathertech trunk liner allow for use of the OEM cargo net that clips into the trunk carpet? I would assume it would need to have some pass-through holes.

On the site when trying to find the ones for my 2017 M240i coupe it only gives me the option for the xDrive or convertible. Anyone have the part number I need?

Is this the one you bought? It says 3 series but part number matches and WT says it's the same PN for 2013 3 series and 2015 235i which is what I am going off of since there are no mats for 2017 m240i coupe.
