feeler: anyone up for European delivery trip in April 2015?
Hello all -
I'm looking at buying a car in February for European Delivery in late march / early April. I'm thinking spring time in Germany. Does anyone want to consider coordinating their trip ? I'm thinking 2-3 of us would make a fun group .... regards, rob |

I am thinking about doing ED sometime in Spring...cannot guarantee when. However, my tour would be primarily of France.

Germany requires cars to be equipped with all weather tires until April 15th, you would have to pay for the option if you take Welt delivery prior to. Plus I would not want to deal with snow/ice on my first days ownership. I'm planning ED in late April or early May, my Dealer said I need to wait until January to start the purchase order though.

I literally just spoke with my CA this morning, he said he'd have to option the all season tires. This is from BMW USA web site

I would do a ED with ya'll if the deliver is around middle of May and beyond. I have class and I'm not going to skip school for a week to pick up a vehicle. That and I don't want to rent snow chains or tires when I pick it up.

I'm doing an April 20th delivery.
Germany requires all season tires from November 1st through April 15th. Or at least it's required to deliver vehicles with them between those dates. Last edited by turbine50; 01-18-2015 at 08:21 PM.. |
