Electrical tape on tips of side mirrors, in hopes of blacking out the blinding amber light that flashes when turning at night.

Did a wash, iron removal, clay, paint correction/polish then applied glaze, sealant, wax and a topper detailer. Also, ceramic coated the wheels. She is set for another year!

Yes, same ceramic coating that I put on the wheels. I wrote up a thread on what I used and the process:

I mounted my EZPass transponder where my central speaker used to be. Works and it's not an eyesore.

SunTek Ultra PPF applied to bumper and headlights. Finally found someone who would come out to the house where I had the M240i clean and ready to go for him up on stands. He was very thankful for the stands. LOL. Apparently, they do this on cars that are lowered, which requires they bend over that much more. That has to suck so bad given how long it took to apply (like 4 hours). He cut everything by hand though, which is why it took so long. It was pretty cool getting to watch the whole process from start to finish. Mad skill involved here! I seriously can't tell it's there, even with all the intricate details in the lower fascia.

Started returning my back to stock condition. Trading it in on a 2019 M2C in the next few weeks. Just removed all my Bavsound stage 1 speakers, the Bavsound ghost woofers, the ash tray mat, and all the M2 carbon fiber pieces I had installed.

Not sure where to post this so here it is: Just back from a 'Spin 'n Slide' wet track training at the Goodwood Racing Circuit (Sussex, UK).
As well as handling oversteer in the wet in Comfort, Sport and Sport+ DSC-off I also mastered J-turns, in an auto (I never knew that was possible!). Only 2 cars meant almost no waiting for my turn. Fantastic value for £99 (US$129) and 1hr on track. They previously used M235i coupés but have just switched to the European M140i. I'd really recommend any performance 2 Series owner to find something equivalent locally and give it go if possible. You simply can't do this sort of training on public roads, and I wouldn't really want to use my own car. 1st car is trying a power acceleration under Sport+ & DSC-Off and instructor said he had the wheel about ½" off-centre, which was enough to send him into a spin: It's surprising how much intervention DSC imposes: it was impossible to spin, and suppression of over-power and over-braking was very heavy (not a criticism - what you want on a commute in the dark and rain when a fox decides to run in front of the car). SPORT let me do a slide but with a reasonably flattering degree of control. SPORT+/DSC Off was frightening until I got used to it and then, actually, it seemed n some ways preferable (as long as I was alert and focused). Anyway, by the end I was doing power cornering on throttle with oversteer corrections (I'm second): And the J-turn: Easier than I expected. You need to move from 'R' to 'D' obviously, and the instructors criticised latest software update that forced you to depress the brake, as they felt this was counterintuitive. Goodwood Promotional Video: I also didn't realise that the car goes into 'N' if it thinks something bad is happening (like being in 'D' moving backwards and demanding power after a spin etc.) so the other car with the software update, they had to remember to dab the brake and shift to 'D' to do a smooth 'J' turn.

Hey everybody. Im new to the forum. I bought a 2014 M235i in Mebourn Red Metallic about 3 weeks ago and I absolutely love it, but unfortunately I have spent the last 2 days trying to repair parts of the front bumper that were cracked in a small incident I was involved in. It sucks but thankfully all the damage is cosmetic. Going to need a new front bumper cover and a few new plastic inserts that go behind it. I have been babying the car since I got it so it sucks to see it a little beat up. I will say though that I have been pleasantly surprised at how easy the car is to work on. Im going to be replacing the front bumper and doing some cosmetic mods to the car. That was the plan eventually anyway. Im definitely going to have some questions about parts and mods. I can see that everyone on here is pretty helpful so I hope I can help others and add to the community as well.

I found a wireless charger pad that fits the space above the cupholders, got it delivered earlier today, and put it in. It took a bunch of scrolling through Amazon search results to find one the correct dimensions. I have a really short cable for it somewhere, too. Seems to work well enough.
I opted not to get the charger in the armrest because my phone (at the time of order) wouldn't fit it. I guess that saved me about $480 USD.
