Not really, this is nothing new. If these were functional vents, BMW wouldn't have blocked them off with camo. Plus what would those vents actually do?
LOL omg more vent issues ....

On the 1M people were simply apoplectic that the vents in the fenders weren't actually vents and are just slits....

There were people crying " deal breaker" over it ...

You complain more than anyone about how everyone is just repeating the same gripes shared by the 1M.

Blah blah blah, the M2 will be like the 1M, so get over it guys
Well guess what? The M2 forums will be just like the 1M forums, so take your own advice. You complain just as much, except about the forum rather than the car. Which one sounds dumber to you?

I spotted the car, too, in the trailer. I left it with the thought that it could be just a modded M235i, but now looking at the detailed screenshots IMHO it really is an M2.

By the way, the customization in the game is immense!!! I'm going to by it for this reason alone.

No.
Where are the photographers? I have lost count on how many times I have seen Long Beach Blue M2's in Munich and surrounding areas.

Could very likely be the case, but let's not jump to conclusions and forget that it could also be a modded 235. Some of the details look strikingly close, but we'll see. Exciting either way.

Your avatar is probably the most interesting in the M2 subforum at the moment.

The rear bumper looks exactly like we've seen in the renders and spy shots also the badging on the rear even if blurry looks too small to have M235i written on it.

Send me a PM on where and when to take some "real life" photos. I'm only an hour or so away from Munchen.

Would just be pleasing to me visually. Not every design element on his car will be fully functional, let's not kid ourselves.
True

The E9x M3 had a dummy hood vent and a functional hood vent I believe.

Correct. But a vent in the bumper, without a vent in front of the rear wheels is completely useless.

Well they do put fake side vents (on the previous cars) and unecessary 4 exhaust tips that people seem to go gaga over so you guys do have a point
