Long Beach Blue on a coupé or sedan BMW car (instead of X-Series)
By now, we've all seen numerous pictures of Long Beach Blue on BMW X-Series cars (X3, X4 Concept, X5M and X6M - see for example here).
However, as far as I recollect, over here at 2addicts I haven't seen pictures yet of LBB on coupé, sedan or hatch BMW cars, except for the M2 test mules that still sport camo. It looks as if the M2 will be the first non X-Series BMW car sporting LBB. Time will tell whether BMW will start offering LBB on other non X-Series, eventually as BMW Individual option. LBB provokes rather polarizing reactions: to some LBB looks stunning, to others it doesn't (quite) appeal. Of course, no-one can be right or wrong on this one - it all comes down to personal taste and, as the saying goes, de gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum. The fact remains that - apart from personal taste - the turquoise-esque (or petrol blue ?) sparkling in-your-face color, changing under different light(ing) conditions, appears to be quite difficult to capture in pictures. As LBB is the M2 launch color, it might be more sought after on resale day than AW, BSM or MG (compare with the popularity of VO on the second hand 1M market), except if most in the market don't dig the color regardless of being the launch color. Spot a compact LBB dot in your rear view mirror and you'll know straightaway that there's an M2 on approach. On the other hand, we may reasonably assume that BMW will offer additional or different colors for future M2 production runs. BMW, if you're reading this: a bright red would be a good idea, alike the color sporting one of the first M2 test mules spotted in August 2014 (that you can see here), or orange (test mule spotted in April 2015 that you can see here). Too bad red or orange didn't make it to the final cut. Atlantis Blue and LBB are close friends and difficult to distinguish in pictures. Example of Atlantis Blue + Yas Marina Blue + Laguna Seca Blue comparo: here. Speaking about Atlantis Blue: I recall a post at 1addicts a few years ago of a Japanese BMW 135i with a 1M body kit wrapped in that color: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=883893 Getting back to LBB on a compact BMW car: a Swiss 1M got wrapped in some kind of blue. It's supposed to be LBB (though personally not fully convinced whether that's accurate). Though again, beware: pictures versus IRL experience + the importance of the light conditions - that may explain why it looks less turquoise-esque in the pictures, or, alternatively, it ain't LBB (source: here) EDIT: it seems that the car pictured below is wrapped in "Vivid Blue" (not LBB) and got stolen in Athens (Greece) in August 2015: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1162056. More 1M blue:

Hmmm. That doesn't look like long beach blue. LBB seems more green to me. Perhaps some side by side pictures would help, but this color right now seems more 'blue'.

Don't worry, Long Beach Teal will look just fine after people get a chance to see the full car after reveal
And yes, I'm very disappointed that the red never made the cut, and instead we get mundane choices MG, AW, and BSM. I will say that 1M wrap doesn't look half bad. Not much, if any green tint in there to my eye though.
