I also think that the triangular part that features inside the intake, is simply a bolted-on camo piece, hiding the V-shaped GT6 Concept intake. Look close and you'll notice that it's a triangular camo block, leaving a small vertical opening on the left side (corner). The hidden design of the front bumper might look much more similar to the GT6 Vision Concept than what is currently revealed to the naked eye. Oh yeah, they're smart in hiding - not giving the goods away that easy. Just look through it, with a pinch of imagination.

So this December 2014 render (http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1066192) may be hitting closer to home than initially thought as regards the front bumper (forget about the CF roof for the M2 base version).

Though the render should be slightly updated in a way that the upper intake line should be higher, closer to the headlight lamp line (really close to each other). On the other hand, contrary to the GT6 Vision Concept, I doubt that there will be a space/cavity at each side corner of the headlamps.

Check also the position of the headlight washer:

M235i and M235i Racing = under the head lamp line:

M2 = above the head lamp line (cause: intake line is higher):

Thank you Artemis!! However, I am seeing something different. What do you think of this?

I did this in paint. The red line should actually be further out but still end up connection to the bottom of the headlight.

I think in the first picture you can see a line where the top right side is more yellowish, and the bottom left side is more black, signifying a crease in the body work.

EDIT: uploading a fixed version

OK Adem1534, let's 'negative' it in order to distinguish the crease line a bit better.

BMW should release those GT6 Vision Concept wheels.

EDIT: BMW already did. As a matter of fact, those wheels are the 2er M Performance wheels (19" forged light alloy wheels - presented in Autumn 2013) painted all black, featuring a red colored rim protector. Unfortunately not with 'all black' or 'all gunmetal' finish.

Agreed. I miss mine and if the M2 doesn't pan out I might go back to an e92 M3 after the F80.

What do you don't like about the F80, or what was so great about the E92 that you miss the car?

I see quite a lot of people regretting their recenetly sold cars...

I'm going to guess the S65. I don't care what anyone else says, that's one very special engine (even if it will not keep up with an S55). It's always a sense of occasion driving that car just because of that engine.

Nothing specific really. The F80 does everything so well; it's stupid fast - much faster than my e92 was. It handles much better, is more comfortable, more luxurious, better tech etc. But the e92 m3 was my dream car in throughout college. I was too young to appreciate the e46 m3 in its prime and the e92 m3 ticked off all the right boxes for me. It was my first M car and it holds a special place in my heart. I'd love to add another one to my stable one day.

I have no gripes with the F80. I just haven't connected as well to it yet. It is still an amazing machine.

Pretty much this. The s55 pulls so hard, but the s65 feels more special; even at low speeds cruising it just sounded/felt special. The throttle response is a lot better on the s65, too. The s55 is good for a turbo motor but it's not telepathic like the s65.

My story is very similar to yours actually. I was a huge fan of the E46 M3 and E39 M5, and when the E92 came out during my college years, I was in love. It's almost a perfect mix between the 2.

That car was completely unobtainable to me until about 2 years ago. My specific car also means a lot to me. First M car, bought it sight unseen from California, very unusual color combo ect ect... she's not going anywhere.

Yup! I'd keep yours as long as possible, if I were you. I can't tell you how many times I've watched the top gear RS4 vs M3 vs C63 clip! I was/still am hooked on the e92. The f80 is a very, very capable performer; just.. sterile. Objective performance is much better than the e92 m3 but subjectively I feel isolated to a degree. I love it but I'm not in love with it.

I go back to the e92 m3 forums a lot and check out different exhaust combos, new part updates and pictures haha. My personal lap top background is a ZCP space gray e92 m3 from EAS's Flickr account

Nah, apparently they want to stay close to the BMW Vision Concept GT6 (and make a moon roof optional).
