The official M3 / M4 tech spec post here on Bimmerpost mentions the changed bore/stroke over the N55 but the full press release included in that post doesn't mention anything about it.

The official BMW S55 training manual says 84/89.6 too and a 2979cc displacement and not what Bimmerpost claims in their spec sheet.

Edit. If you look at the specifications for the M3/M4 it also says 84/89.6. So the tech thread you used is just wrong I guess.

Sold the 335 when I still thought the M2 would arrive in November. My mistake, so needed a cheap ass ride for shitty weather.
