It's the only 93 octane available in the Twin Cities as well. I use it because it's recommended in the owners manual and my Dinantronics is tuned for that octane rating. I was going to try Shell until I saw it was only 91 octane.

I've only got up to 91 here which is convenient 'cuz that's what the car needs.

I use 92 or 93 depending on which gas station I go to. I have not seen 91 available locally. Our choices are usually 87, 89, and 92/93.

I would not consider you a bad owner. The manual says the car requires 89. There should be no damage or warrany issues if you use 89.

It just happens that the station that sells 93 has the cheapest premium gas in town by ~$.20/gal. All the rest are 91. Either is fine, but I wouldn't use less than 91 in this car.

91 is perfectly fine, as that's what recommended by BMW. Esso's 93 includes ethanol (if that matters to you)

Track Fuel?

You really use track fuel as your daily gasoline?

89 is the minimum recommended octane with a few caveats. I generally use 93 and leave it at that. I don't think 91 is available in Virginia.

Normally I always filled the car up with RON95, but since I'll be getting a tune soon I've switched to RON98 (BP Ultimate). It's easy to come by over here, but it's just stupidly expensive ($6.25 a gallon )

Sunoco is the only station that I've know to have 91 on the east coast!

The car states that minimum is 91.
