Clock always off

Hi guys,

I have reset the clock in my 2016 m235 several times and it still continues to be off. This is not from daylights saving. Any ideas what might be wrong.

I tried coding to set clock by GPS to see if it would help, but it didn't

Sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order. My 2016 doesn't have any issues with the clock being correct.

Agree, sounds like a dealer issue. The time on my M235i is set by the GPS - no issues. I'm a little over 3 months and and nearly 4K miles in and zero issues so far. Of course that's really nothing to brag about. I would expect nothing less.

So is this both the clock in the iDrive display and the other below the speedometer - which you change-activate with the button on the tip of the wiper stalk ?

Yup. I believe so. I'll try resetting it one more time.

I actually haven't checked that. I usually just set it and forget it. As you can tell it doesn't bother me a ton. Just annoying when I do notice.

Is it possible the time is correct, but set for another time zone?

I have the same issue and I noticed it only happens when it is around or below freezing temperatures. I assumed it was the battery (i dont know if thats covered so I never brought it in). Let me know what you find out!

I'm due for an oil change soon. I'll have them look at it then. I reset it last night and I was off by two minutes this morning.

maybe you are driving too fast...and the clock can't keep up

I believe if you have the tech package, there is an option that the time gets updated automatically through the internet connection
