Haha! Yep, from Tainik!

I spoke to him probably 4-6 months ago about a wheel but got sidetracked and finally got back in touch with him about 3 weeks ago about getting me a light blue leather stripe to match my car. I think I ordered mine maybe 2 weeks ago now? I just threw this post up because I just spoke to a guy I've dealt with in the past with alcantara wheels in Georgia who's going to dis-assemble my existing m-performance shift boot and add a tri-stitch and take out the silver X stitch BMW made.

Huh, who knew this forum was a gateway to an alternate universes.... Michael at Coby Wheels right?! Lol I spoke to him for a wheel as well, but he didn't have non-heated steering wheels, so I would have needed to send mine, and the car is my DD. I too spoke to Tainik for months now and pulled the trigger three or so weeks ago. Too funny

Well this is entirely too weird. Coby (mike) wrapped a wheel for me and made me shift boots in my previous E46 330i ZHP so naturally I initially went back to him for a wheel but he didn't have any for me either, so at least he's doing a boot for me now. Did you get a heated alcantara wheel from Tainik?

I thought I was going to be the only one with a custom alcantara wheel here..

You know, he didn't ask about the heated. He did ask if mine was auto or manual for the paddle shifter threads (sounds like you have a manual).

I may need to get in contact with Mike again with converting my center arm rest and shift-boot to alcantara and blue stitching.

As for the steering wheel, i too thought for sure i was the only one getting it. Oh well, it's all up to who gets it and\or installs it first now

At least we will be the only ones in our own state? But then again, your Location only says country like mine .. for all i know you live in the same State as i do

Haha I feel like you'll probably get yours first since I ordered mine right when he put up his new ad for the light blue time strip wheel.

I'm in PA so I think we'll be alright state-wise!

Just finished changing back to my summer wheels! Tomorrow the MP Exhaust arrives - will try doing that myself over the weekend and will also give the car a much-needed wash.

Got a paint chip on my driver's door from someone opening their door.
Didn't have the heart to yell at a old lady.
Still crying internally.

With the extra money you saved not going Dinan, you can order the gloss black M235i badge from IND

Yeah I just kind of wandered into my parts department with lifeless eyes and ordered some EB touch up paint. Hopefully my OCD will help and it'll be a flawless repair

Garage List
Started Dinan P1...

DINANTRONICS™ Performance Tuner Stage 2 installed today.

I can feel it! (That's what she said...) Definite difference. More pull, sooner.

More to come - CAI and exhaust on order.

Had my one-year service today, an oil change and general inspection. 4500 miles. No issues so far.

I have to say the experience was super pleasant. My client advisor met me at the front door, directed me to the service area, met me there with a service manager, gushed over my car, and essentially held my hand through the process. The facilities were spotless everywhere. They don't skimp on stuff, from the snacks/coffee/bottled water to the nice furniture in the waiting area. At the end, the manager briefed me on what they did - nothing other than the oil change - and it was like personalized service.

It's just a whole different culture compared to what I was used to.

I got my 1200 mile break in engine oil change today at the dealership. They did the labor free and I paid for the oil and filter. As Wjones14 posted above, I like the amenities in the dealership. Stocked mini fridge with sodas and water. A plethora of snacks and candy and coffee available and pretty nice seating area minus no tv. That I like. Overall not very impressed with the people working there from my salesman to service. The guy doing all the work for the writer who greeted me outside and took me in was nice however.

I also placed my order for the Dinmann CF Diffuser. By far the most aggressive looking diffuser on the market and cannot wait to get it. The owner, Cannon makes them new on order and ships them. Might be more than most of the diffusers, but this is imo the best diffuser available. You can get one for under a grand ( $990 ) by posting a pic of your car with it on 2 addicts.
