Want to the m3 style mirror covers to be body matching instead of carbon fiber :/. Ordered the mirror covers unpainted. Then find out about mineral white being super hard to match and a 3 stage paint. Ofc the only auto body around here that will do it nicely wants 300 plus tax.

So I figured a vinyl wrap would be my best bet :/

you wont find one.

All the whites that would work either have a green or purple tint (pearl) to them.
And if you wanted to paint them, they wont match either.

Wrap it gloss black if you don't like cf.

I've wrapped the bumper portions of my M Performance splitter. I'm using Avery SW900 Supreme Wrapping Vinyl Film Gloss White Pearl SW900-109-S purchased from Metrorestyling.com. Matches perfectly. Super easy to work with too. It would be fine for the mirror caps.

This is good input. I've inquired of a local wrap outfit about wrapping my mirror caps with this. Or, I suppose, I could do it myself, it doesn't look incredibly difficult, although removing the caps looks like I could screw it up.

Same here I'm idk if I want wrap yet or not. I don't know anything about how to keep vinyl wraps clean or maintained. Then obviously I have to worry about how long they will last etc. I wish I could just paint the mirror caps with the factory mineral white color but silly me how was I to know mineral white would be impossible to get done perfectly by autobodies 🙃.

Thanks. The wheels are Alutec Drives.
http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1370118 They're available at TireRack. They're a great wheel if you're going for an OEM+ look. They look far better in person, The photos make them look a lot flatter. Here's another pic to show that they have some concaveness.

I have MW painted mirror caps from IND. Funny thing is the wrap matches the MW color better than the MW paint IND uses. If I would have known the wrap was available when I did the caps, I could have just wrapped the stock caps.

The wrap is pretty robust, especially if you're using it on mirrors where there is less risk from rocks and heavy debris. You should get years of life out of it. You can buy a 1' X 5' piece of wrap for like $20. That would give you plenty of material to play with it.

I plan on making my own MPerformance side sill vinyl this summer. I've learned how to use 3M "knifeless" vinyl wrap tape and it's amazing. No more need to take a blade to the vinyl when you want straight lines cut in the vinyl.

Sure, there's no issue doing that. I wrapped portions of my splitter and that's unpainted plastic. Just wipe down the plastic with isopropyl alcohol to get the surface clean and go at it.
