Dude. The 2.0 TFSI is probably the most unreliable engine of all time.!

A friend of mine tried to point out issue of oil missing in his car, but Audi laughed and said "its normal to fill up a liter a month" when driving 400km/month. Year later engine went lean and poped 4th cylinder to shit due to carbon buildup. Still under warrenty tho! This was a brand new car...

So, I would stay as far from Audi/VW as I can.

PS. Had a A4 B5 wagon Quattro. Loved it.

Of all time? Pre 2013, there were issues. It's super solid with those addressed and great in newer years.

I wouldn't buy a pre 2013 2.0t that hasn't received a timing tensioner update and is clear from oil consumption.

Saying that all Audis are crap because the 2.0F has some issues in the past would mean that all BMWs are headaches because N54 trouble spots.

Ive run up against a ttrs in my m240 xdrive. Ttrs has the exact same motor as the rs3. But anyways, we hit the gas at 5 kph and man that ttrs was quick and he quickly had a car length on me. When we hit 100 kph, i started reeling him in. He realized this and he braked lol. Id imagine itd be the same situation against an rs3. They launch pretty good but the b58 motor has enough torque up top to catch it with enough time is what i think.

On another note, i did own a b7 a4 and it had 215000 kms on it before i got rid of it. I found thenoil burning issue depends on the oil you used. I used motul and only had to fill maybe half a quart every 3 months. The biggest issue was the cam follower. They were the number one reason these engines blew. I replaced mine 2 times during my ownership and never had an issue. Motor was solid after that.

That’s what I wanted to hear plus the ttrs is a 3.5-3.6 car so that’s impressive!

a m240ix can beat a stock RS3 with JB4/meth/Ps2 on the low end too.

But until we get a flash tune there's no way we're beating a tuned Rs3, our car is just too DME crippled

After about 7 years (time is more important than mileage), many TT owners began reporting mag ride shock leaks and replacing all 4 is a $2k-$3K bill. Many are converting to standard suspensions instead. the longevity of the RS3 mag ride shocks is unknown.

$2-3k for all 4? That's dirt cheap

I like the RS3 and it generates big numbers, but it's rather digital. An M240 or M2 will have a ton more soul and on a track, will likely be the victor. If all you care about is off the line, straightline acceleration, the RS3 is a good choice. If you care about driving and engagement, the M240 or M2 would be the choice.

As for Audis and reliability, I do scratch my head when I hear that newer Audis have great reliability. VW owns Audi and tons of parts are shared and VW has lower the average reliability. Also, my friends with newer, out of warranty Audis sink tons of money into repairs on them.
