Yeah. The R was very low to the ground, it seemed to me. Harder to climb out of. I've never had them side by side, though I had my 135is on the day I tested the R and the ingress/egress seemed more difficult with the R.
It was a hoot, though, I really liked it. In the end, it was probably the convertible top, and some kind of ego thing, that closed me on the BMW. Oh, and the fact that Germaine VW seemed to be populated with uninterested jerks. |

I too would echo your comments on the MINI...we don't have the JCW version but love our '15 Roadster S. Drive MINI models at work and had a track day at Indy in the JCW model....awesome brakes and great handling vehicle.

If you decide to look at awd, your next q will be 'what can compete w/ an xdrive 240, and you'll get the same answers (but a few more also-ran's like the WRX). Personally I'm loving the awd performance, not sure I'd ever go back to rwd, even for a pure summer fun car (Miatas excepted)

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is awesome. Too bad no stick in US but the paddles are great and the power is fabulous out of the box. Beautiful leather and interior appointments too.....

[/QUOTE] If your garage is only 8' wide a 2er will not work for you. You won't be able to open the door to get out of the car. The doors on these cars are very long.

For the criteria I had, I found only 3 other cars that fitted, Porsche 911, Cayman and Jag F Type. The Jag didn't have enough ground clearance, and the Porsche dealers were too far away from home for my liking. So I bought M235. (M2 was only a rumour when I was buying)
I don't think that the 2 series has any serious competition. The only trouble I have is that my wife never stops complaining about it. |

Even with 7k of mods it barely breaks 200 wheel torque and obviously gets slaughtered by even a stock 240 so I have no idea what he was thinking. |

Toyota owns (I think) 20% of Subaru, which is why the FRS exists in the first place. Other than for some minor interior design differences, and a different MT take-rate (the FRS is more likely to be taken as an automatic than the Subaru), they are identical vehicles made by Subaru. |

I'm aware yes, I was just trying to point out how lame toyota has become. Also yes, I am former owner and crazy pissed at what the company stands for now. Building emotionless, underpowered and crappy appliances.
Anyone else find it funny how the supra wasn't even present at the tokyo auto show? I think by the time this car actually comes out, if it actually does, no one will no longer care. That or it will suck so bad and fail. whew, the hatred is real. end rant... Quote:
