picked up the ride
so i picked up the ride
car had 10 miles on it when i picked her up. Still had the German factory smell on the outside and engine bay. MMMMMMMMMMM bliss smell. i was standing in front of the radiator smelling the heat waves as it cooled of in my garage. Love this car drives way better than i was anticipating. really like that tire pressure and temp monitor. the bt audio streaming works great. car has been a joy to drive and i cleared 120 mph without going over 4k rpm. its so easy and smooth and fast i might be getting into trouble soon. pics coming tint guy is finishing up right now. pouring rain as well. |

Thanks for the pics, just ordered this same color combo a couple weeks ago. Nice to see it as I wait. You have excellent taste.

thank you for your comments! notes about the car....i love the auto wipers. i had no idea the car came with that feature they sense the rain very nice. one thing i was pissed about is the head lights are not really adaptive. they do not turn with the wheel like in my bros bmw... he has adaptive and they move side to side. mine seem to go up and down only kinda a bummer and useless feature. I had no idea the car would have the ambient lighting, pretty neat feature you can change the color from sport to classic and the brightness of that. The biggest thing that is impressing me is the auto box. In sport it really does a great job of holding the gears and dropping them down when you slow down. It pretty much does exactly what i would do if i were shifting manual. THe paddles do very nice as well i did not think the rev matching down shifts would be as smooth and seamless as they are. the power even though i am not going over 4k is incredible so i assume it will be in boost and pull even harder after 4k which is always a good thing. the seats and cockpit feel as if was tailor made just for me. this is my first bmw and i am very very pleased with the product so far. I ordered this car blind and never even saw or drove it. no regrets!

dude you are going to freaking love it. it feels nice and lit up at night vs black interior. with the tints no one can tell you have the red interior too.

i just looked at the invoice and i have 25% rear and 35% front. this is standard set up that the dealer does as well. it looks darker than it is because it is raining. in the sun it looks lighter.

Love the color combo too. That combo was my second choice, but I had to have the VO and red just doesn't work with VO. The car looks awesome! Congrats

Absolutely same decision path here, same first and second choice, and agree that it looks outstanding! Best color to work with the wheels

This. They are absolutely adaptive. They only work when you are in drive. Can't remember if they are speed sensitive or not. Just a note, on my 135i, they would remain straight forward when the lights were manually set to "on". It had to be "auto" for them to scroll. My friend called them the "frog" eyes. Not sure if this is true on the 2.

Wait they are supposed to turn with the wheel while driving???? i am 150% mine are not doing that. they adjust up and down when i start the car but when i am driving around they do not turn. i know what to look for all my cars have this feature including my bros x5. its not doing it i checked the settings in the idrive under lighting and no option to toggle it on or off so its definitely not working. can anyone confirm a way to toggle this feature? id rather not deal with the dealership. |
