so question about 'angel eyes' or corona rings

2 series is facing the LCI and it seems that the shape of the so called angel eyes are changing to match the current looks on 3/4 series.

currently, 2 series with lightning package gets LED angel eyes with xenon projectors (sad we dont get full headlights but maybe LCI will change this)

anyway, going back to main point.

can someone explain the difference between two different angel eyes beside the fact they're both LED? is design simply the only difference?

the LCI ones seem to have more angular design and it also seems to illuminate 'brighter/whiter/more transparent' light compared to the other.

i have attached photos from 4 series for comparison as 2 series does not have these lights yet.

Can we really spot this difference with closing speeds exceeding 140 MPH?

They work really well and scare passengers when they move..
