New to 2 - any cool hacks?

Back in the e9x days, we had cool tricks like the golf tee mod to open up the exhaust valve for a deeper sound and more burrrble.

Anything like that on the 2?

The only thing I have heard of is: Start car, wait till exhaust valve opens, go under the back of the car and unplug exhaust valve, enjoy.

Thanks for the tip, is there a DIY link around to do this? Not sure exactly how to do it.

Also, anyway to make the car start in sport mode all the time?

That would be nice. Bet you have to code it in though.

Driver's side exhaust pipe has the valve actuator, look under there it's really obvious. Look down the tail pipe and you can see if the gate is open or closed. When open, unplug the cable going to the valve actuator.

Golf tee is so 2012.

Now it's a simple unplug as people have stated.

Also if you have a backup cam with a lighter color car and can't see at night when you backup, put a tiny piece of electrical tape on the lower half of the camera. It'll prevent the color/contrast change that washes out the image and makes the rear view much clearer.

Thanks for all the responses!

Can I buy the equipment to code myself via USB/OBDII?
