Yes that is correct, HJS make their own downpipes as well
Just installed Active Autowerke DP - so far so good!

200 vs 400 CEL

It seems Fabspeed has the upper hand considering you get a no CEL guarantee with what I think is the most important thing… A 200 cell HJS for that matter.
It just seems to be a true high flow when you're at that 200 mark but I am new to this so I can stand corrected. With that my question is will you need a tune given it's a 200 cell? Or can you just enjoy the uptick in performance with a nice linear curve without a tune?

the tune is not mandatory but you won't fully take advantage of the gains without it.

I've never understood this. The tuners don't account for a DP. A DP will make the same power whether you're tuned or not. You want a DP with a tune as it's much easier on the turbo.

Most tuners have specific maps with and without downpipes. You also have room for more boost with higher flow downpipes

This is correct. The downpipes itself doesn’t really effect peak power, but my tuner said it does allow more headroom and lower egts.
