When I go to the US I usually use my TomTom and I change the measures to miles. So I watch my TomTom instead of the car speedometer. I can do math easy, but still find it stupid not to have both on Canadian cars but both on US ones.

Maybe BM realize that Canadian's are more mentelly flexible? and before our friends down South get flustered, I'm merely jesting.

I'd like to know how many of them ever venture into the Canada forum here.

I don't recall seeing any images of other BMW models that feature metric only.

I saw a video of an F82 M4 yesterday in the USA that only had Imperial. Weird.

Agreed - but it's borderline criminal that you can't get a digital MPH readout when needed. Some Canadian 2 series owner who has a speed-related accident in the US should sue BMW Canada. SUE, it tell you!

That, and the fact that anyone who can't multiply a number by 0.6 on the fly is contributorily negligent.

e.g. 50 km/h = 30 mph; 100 = 60; ad nauseum.

The speedo overstimates by about 3 mph, so that pretty much takes care of the rounding factor.

In Canada, the metal dead rest foot plate is standard with the M235 while
option 488 (lumar) is $300 and option 493 (Storage compartment Pkg) is $200.

I am getting both on my new car. Cheers

Reviving this old thread.

Noticed that the US-bound models come with a power outlet and hooks / cargo net inside the trunk but mine came with none of these items. Is this the case with all Canada-bound models?
