My New M240i

Hi Folks!

I finally collected this beauty on the 16th August, sorry it's taken me this long to get round and share.

6MT, AW, Coral. Pretty basic in terms of options inside, budget stretched to loud speaker system, factory tints and lumbar support. I spent most of the cash on the exterior MPerformance parts from the dealership along with the 405M's which are unfortunately on the P Zero run flats.

Some pictures below which are a mixture of iPhone and some I shot with my NEX5, I'm no photographer.

This is how I collected her:

First Wash, pre North Coast 500 drive. First Mods were CF roof wrap, Alisport Mirrors, twin resonator delete and some cheap eBay accent stickers for the kidney grille, kinda chuffed at how subtle they are.

Some shots from driving around the North West coast of Scotland #NC500:

I fall in love with it more with every drive! It's great to be back in a rapid motor again. I have loads more pictures too if anyone is interested.

Good photography. 2-Series is a great looking car. 19 inch wheels look so good, I may have to jump up to the 19's.

Awesome, congrats. Where I worked we had plants in Dumfermerline and Dundee. I never visited but my colleagues said the scenery is spectacular. I agree. Good Luck.

Great pix! You've blended the background with the subject. Are you in the Highlands? My wife and I were there a few years ago. Beautiful area. Roads are a bit narrow but you drive where you can.

Congrats on the great looking Alpine White M240! Love the carbon fibre roof treatment...will have to keep that mod in mind!

Thanks! It is a joy, quite challenging at times given the road surface around the mountains but the breathtaking views more than make up for it!

Thanks. No, I bought the stickers off eBay HERE They come in two sets which is handy if you mess up first time, pretty easy to install if you have a steady hand.

It sure is! I couldn't comment on any other wheel sizes, sure you'll get the power down with smaller rims and a higher profile tyre but I love the look of them.

If you ever get the chance you should try find the time to come back and do it. There are many companies who offer full package weekends with Caterhams etc and all accommodation booked along the route.

Thanks. I'm on the West coast in Aberdeen, just drove the route over the weekend. They are very narrow, yeah, you just have to be careful of the sheep!

Thank you. It seems gloss black was the more favourable roof wrap amongst the forum but after researching how easily marred it is I decided on the CF as its much more forgiving.

Are the Alisport mirrors gloss black?? How much did you pay. I keep coming back to your car pics, they look so good

No, they are carbon fibre/fiber. Fitment is good but the moulds are a tiny bit uneven to eachother, most would never notice. I think I paid £72 including intercontinental delivery from China to Scotland which is a damn sight cheaper than the £550 OEM ones and took me about 45 seconds a side to install.
