I got an OBD2 scanner and paired it successfully with my iPhone 5. So far, however, the only available temp output reading appears to be coolant temp. Does anyone know how to get oil and water temps with the above combo?

EDIT: Yes, Torque Pro is for Android only. I am using DashCommand. I have a feeling that the output options in all apps is somewhat limited by the automobile manufacturer settings. Last edited by BarryJI; 07-01-2015 at 12:35 PM.. |

using the secret menu is not hard. takes about 45 seconds once you memorize the 5 steps. yeah you're probably not going to use it for every drive but its quick and easy enough to do when you know you're going to be pushing it. or want to monitor warm up times.

install was pretty straight forward, at first i was overwhelmed but i managed it in about an hour. honestly the hardest part for me was reattaching the door sill. it depends how DIY you are, it involves removing a lot of trim, routing cables and playing with the fembody modules. that being said i found a great DIY thread for the M3 awron and that was very helpful. honestly i love it. i do a lot of 0-60 times and this makes it so much easier than using the cumbersome lap timer app. it includes oil temp, oil pressure, rail press, intake temp, exhaust temp, coolant temp, transmission temp, boost pressure, hp and torque, plus a few more features. |

Sad, BMW puts glowing ///M235i logo on dash, pictures of drivetrain on ipad screen, tells you what band is playing your music but can't give car enthusiasts a temp gauge. You have to look for the nested secret menu since the glowing M235i badge is more important than oil temp.

According to the Turner Motor Sports web site there is no oil temp.If that is wrong I'm glad. I'll buy one. New info. P3cars.com says oil temp is displayed as you say.Checked wrong supplier.
