>> looking like russian LADA 9ka with low front and high ass...

))))) there's a new trend over there, I think, the ass lying on the floor, rear springs cut off at about half their length, rear wheels rubbing their way through the metal... but that's another story. )

I am almost certain, though, the rear of that 2-er will look better a week or two later, when the rear springs settle (always the case with Eibachs).

Something else, that's on stock shocks, it may actually look a bit different on stiffer shocks like B8 (although the spring is supposedly the only factor of the ride height, different shocks may still give a small variation of up to 5 mm of ride height when coupled with the same lowering springs, I've seen that).

If bgregg was kind enough to take a picture of the car a week or 2 later it'd be much appreciated (if bgregg keeps those springs that long). That'd be more informative of how the car eventually looks when it all settles down properly.

Yeah, I'll take a closer look at those as well. Thanks.

I will be able to post another picture of the rear to see if any settling occurs. The fronts are already back to stock springs until I figure out what I want to do for my taller track tires. I started a new thread about Ground Control coilover conversion kit, which could be a solution for my taller tires and custom ride height.

rear settling?

I waited as long as possible to take this photo of the rear after any settling that might occur. I am changing suspensions (already) to the coilover conversion kit, as I alluded to. So there may be an ad for the Pro-Kit springs, very slightly used, in the ads section soon. To my eye, I cannot see any settling.

M235i xDrive Eibach spring rates are probably different, it appears from the TUV certificate they're a bit stiffer for xDrive both front and rear. The wheel gap in the rear doesn't seem that big 2 days after installation (but I use 255/35/18 winter tire). front is lower but not too low, just a bit of a front rake, if any. I actually like the look a lot (and how it handles).

Just to compare, these are h&r springs, installed this weekend which sit pretty flat.

My springs came with h&r branded bump stops, so I guess they have realised there was a problem with the front.

Yours looks really nice.
I like how my xDrive looks on Eibachs, the rear just a tiny bit higher than the front (I wouldn't call that front rake at all, only looks right). I also think, from looking at all the pictures on H&R springs, that my Eibachs may be a bit more conservative lowering the car, just a little bit taller - my perception is only visual, though, as I don't have the actual real-world numbers on H&R vs Eibachs (but, again, I like that, after reading all the stories of the car sitting on bump stops, etc., hopefully allows a bit more of suspension travel).

just found this thread as was searching for eibachs.
I just purchased the Blistein B12 pro-kit - which is the B8 dampers with the eibach springs for my M235i RWD.

will see how they go.

Please update us when you get them installed. I'm also looking at that kit. I don't need height adjustments.

need to wait till the new year now to install

looks like will need to reuse dust covers and bump stops or buy the BMW m performance versions for their lowering springs.

Thanks for the update! I want to get those springs with the Koni yellows though. Please post the dust boots and bump stop part numbers when you get them. I'm doing this in the spring as well.

just been to my local BMW dealer and ordered the following for the strut / spring change

FRONT:

31306791712 - Dust cover / tube / upper spring pad

31336787114 - Lower Spring pad

31306868240 - Gasket/washer

REAR:

33536764419 - upper spring pad

33536791709 - lower spring pad

41147057297 - Spring pocket

33506791708 - Cap

33506866038 - gasket / washer

auxilarry damper kit - 33502411196 -

plus torx bolts and nuts

07119907135
07119907137
07119907372
33326760668

the damper kit says only for cars with the adaptive suspension. my car doesn't have the adaptive and is the standard M sport suspension. however, my thinking is that these bump stops for front and rear will work and are shorter than stock and it says only for adaptive as the system won't let you replace the struts on the adaptive suspension, only the springs so you need this auxiliary damper kit.

on the standard suspension if you retrofit to the M performance suspension you get the kit which includes the struts, springs and the auxiliary dampers.

all these parts came to a total of £227!! but £100 of that was the damper kit.
if you are doing a spring/ suspension change you really only need to replace the torx bolts and nuts and the gaskets.

i ordered everything else as a just in case something gets damaged whilst doing the job.

on a side note - the BMW dealer will no longer fit aftermarket parts !!! so will need to find an independent.
