Right, I believe this is just regarding the 2 GC. This will be competition for the A3/GTI. The 2-door versions will still be RWD.

I'll reserve opinion until I see what is actually produced.
I currently drive an M240i and a JCW tuned Mini Cooper S. Very happy w/ the Mini, but if BMW is going to offer something that may compete w/ it I will certainly give it a hard look. B46 in my car w/ the tune is quite nice w/ a lot of pep. If they can eke out 300 HP from a B48 and put it in a light, nimble package, I could see going that route in a small BMW. 2019 sounds like a long way off, but 2108's are being sold and driven..so likely less than a year we'll be seeing and hearing a lot more about this car. |

I was thinking the same - push the F23 to weekend duty and DD a more versatile GC. Assuming when it comes it?s something decent.
