I tried a search but couldn't find anything.

but can you retro fit the touch controller?

I have a 2014 F22 that didn't have nav - the nav was also retrofitted through BMW accessories - and part of this was the 'normal' I drive controller for the nav.

my question is, could I retro fit the touch controller?

I just bought a touch ceramic controller

works the same but no touch function as not the correct head unit.

next is to see if the radio and A/C knobs can fit.

Nice I just swapped in a touch controller though not ceramic, ceramic is awesome !!

You should do the 8.8" display swap, I used to have the 6.5" too and its night and day difference

I made a thread with all the instructions, pictures are messed up because photobucket is trying to get people to pay for hosting but I will fix the thread soon but if you have any questions I can do my best to help

i was going to do this.

so my car is a march 2014 production with the standard entry 6.5 screen and no nav. the nav was retro fitted by bmw after sale.

so does this mean i cant fit the 8.8 screen?

or how can i upgrade the screen?

could i just uograde to the mid level 6.5?

What's different about the ceramic version?

BTW, those cup holder inserts are pretty useless. I only have them because I don't want to lose what came with the car, but I don't use them.

it's ceramic not plastic.

heavier and nicer feel to it.

and those inserts are a waste I agreed.

if you have a drink you need to take them out and there is no where else to put them really.

Hmm, I think it'd be more of a fingerprint magnet. I actually liked the way the 440i's knob felt with its more tactile surface. There's some added trim around the buttons, too, I think.

this is the older version.

if you.have a 440 then it will be the fancier version anyway of.the non ceramic.

I couldn't retrofit that version.

key fob fits perfectly into front slot of cup holder insert pictured on the left...keeps me from losing all my keys when I forget to pocket the key fob.
