Picked Up My Friend's New Alpine White M235i!
It couldn't have been more of an adventure picking up my friend's new Alpine White M235i (with tech, premium, heated seats). From inquiring about the car to actually purchasing it was literally less than a 24 hour ordeal. He contacted BMW of Visalia (near Fresno, CA) inquiring about an Alpine White M235i they had in stock around 2PM on Monday and ended up sealing the deal by 5PM the same day all over the phone/email. Not being local at all (both of us were at least 250 miles from Visalia), we decided to book a flight the next day to Fresno airport. Upon arrival, the salesman, Kevin, picked us up (in a clean 5-series) and drove us straight to the dealership where my friend signed the rest of the paperwork and got the keys to the car in about 30 minutes (not including the 40 minute drive). From there, it was a fun 6 hour journey back home with a stop in LA for some dinner. Who said European Delivery was needed? Got our own California Delivery experience right here!
I definitely gotta give props to the guys at BMW of Visalia though. My friend and I have gone through cars almost every 6 months for the past 2-3 years and this was the smoothest experience we have had in purchasing any car from any dealership (smooth enough that we would fly out to them again - maybe for my own M235i...). |

I am most likely going to purchase the car. However, at this price point, everything must be "perfect"; including the exterior paint. I am not happy with the offerings currently available. I will TRY if possible, to "special order" moonglow or Valencia. I am not aware if this can be done; (xtra dollars?.. Maybe) but will certainly explore the possibilities with dealer. Nice looking car!

The white is super-duper clean in person and I love it! I came from Japanese cars, so this is my first German vehicle and I can see what all the rave is about!
I originally wanted Alpine White + Tech package, but it seems my order got pushed back to August because my original dealer said the allocations got cut in half. I couldn't wait that long and went to see if I could find something close enough to San Diego and found this baby at BMW of Visalia. I HIGHLY recommend these guys! They approved everything in 2 hours and we just flew up next day, they picked us up from the airport and we were out of the dealership in 30 minutes. I've never dealt with such a straight forward dealer before. If anyone wants a BMW, hit up Kevin @ BMW Of Visalia and they'll give you an awesome rate. Current specs of the vehicle are: Alpine White with w/ Tech + Premium package and Dokota Black Leather interior. I put 300 miles on the car for the drive home with 1/4 of the tank left! I am assuming the miles per tank is around 350-400 which is really good in my opinion. I've been averaging around ~28mpg on the way home. Last edited by JustinCredibleM; 03-12-2014 at 01:53 PM.. |
