2107 M240i alignment limits

So I have very worn outer edges on the front.

What are the limits of camber/caster alignment on the stock suspension? Can I get -1.3 degress camber and an extra 1 degree positive caster?

I don't want to buy camber plates if I don't have to.

thanks.

Camber is not adjustable. You can put the M4 LCA though if not xdrive

DO you mean the stock LCA for the M4 or adjustable ones? prices seem to be close to Dinan camber plates.

I have a RWD 240. so possible.

If you install the M Luca on an m235i what negative camber results?

What have been people’s experience?

M4 lca + ts is -2 degrees

- lca alone moves wheel forward
- tension strut corrects this
- spacers are needed to make it fit
- I still have not seen a trouble free set of camber plates yet
- camber plates with corresponding coilovers seems to be the most correct way to do it
- many people run the lca + ts with good luck
- there are some newish options out there instead of the me lca, I believe lemforder and the hpautosports ones are two other options
- there are some camber adjustable bushing options out there, but I haven't heard any feedback on them

You can't adjust camber in the front without plates....

you have stock LCA about 0.75-0.80
if you replace with M4 LCA then you get about 1.7-1.8

You can purchase new LCA bushings for your stock arms, that are adjustable. Would probably be the best way to conquer the battle against noise from top hats, etc. The only noise free camber plates out there, are the ones supplied with aftermarket coilovers, afaik..

One option, for adjustable bushings, for the stock LCA's. I believe there are a couple more, try searching the web.

I don't use them, no. I was looking into them before doing the M4 LCA/TS mod. And after doing that, I've since gone with coilovers/camber plates... Not sure they'll have enough adjustment for an ideal camber setup, though. That would be my concern...

Not to get too off topic, but what setup did you go for? Do you like it? And what's the highway adjustment. I have been thinking about coilovers, but was concearned about them dropping too much.

Also I was looking for something that is high quality, but simple. I don't see myself needing 7.8 trillion different suspension settings. I have that on my mountain bike and it's still difficult to set it up right dven though it's easily adjusted.

I saw these. they are for M2/M4. so I assume they are good for the m240i as well.

but at that price, I would have to seriously consider coilovers.

I don't really want to mod this car, as I'm a little past mods right now. but I have a shop looking out for the bushes in the above post because the wear is really not something I can live with.

I have a set of adjustable camber LCA bushing. They offer an additional -0.5 degrees of camber putting my overall front camber to -0.8. It's definitely not enough camber for what I do (autox) but it did help alleviate front tire shoulder wear. For normal street driving, it should be fine. If you're doing any performance driving (tracking, canyon, autox), you'll want more, especially if you're sticking with stock PSS with jello-soft sidewalls.
