I have the BMS intake, the site is out of the blue oil kit so I’m trying to find an alternative?

https://www.greenfilterusa.com/store/2000

I used Green filters before for my Big Turbo Civic build and they are top notch. This should be the same as any other kit.

I’m just worried since all the sites specify “USE ONLY COLOR OIL THATS ON FILTER”. I’m guessing thier different weights?

I noticed that as well... for that I'm not sure.. it's possibly just the old marketing ploy " only use our product" :

Tbh, I don't think I would prefer green either..

I just replaced my Dinan filter today and they use a blue oil as well. I will check the information that was givin in the box to see what oil they use and maybe you could go that route.

Is the filter on the BMS unit replaceable..?

I would try to find a dry filter... MAFs typically don't like the oil from open element filters. Most major performance companies offer dry filters; you do sacrifice a little bit of flow, but your MAF will love you.

Yeah it’s replaceable I just don’t know if they offer different ones- I can get the same one again for 60$ which is alot

The thing is, these oiled-cotton filters have to be cleaned, dried thoroughly, and re-oiled lightly, and allowed to sit for an hour or so before putting them back into the airbox. The cotton element has to be completely dry to absorb the oil properly and too much will definitely foul the MAF.
