Help Installing JB4 OBDII Cable

Has anyone successfully used a wire hanger to feed the cable through the clutch line grommet? I tried for an hour and couldn't get it to work.

Is you're car Auto or manual?

I installed mine on a manual and it was a PITA. I wrapped the connector in electrical tape to help it not get caught and damage. I also tied a piece of fishing line to it to further help direct it through the hole from the top. After that I used a trim tool to remove the grommet as much as necessary and fed the fishing line through with the coat hanger and pulled the jb4 connector with the fishing line while holding the clutch line as far down as possible.

I just used the plug/hole in the firewall. I tried running it through the clutch line grommet but to no avail. Once I figured out the plug was covering the hole through the firewall, it was not hard at all. Just my two cents...if it helps.

I used the same grommet as the hood release it was bigger and poking holes near my clutch lines sounded like a bad time. Good luck
