The metal/debris could have been from the timing chain, sprockets, and/or chain tensioner.

Just got off the phone with the oil filter analysis. He told me what he found matched what Blackstone e had sent out. The filter was basically clean. The few particles that he did flush out we're idententied as aluminium.

No traces of other metals we're found.

Interesting point, i wasn't really conidering those components. Any idea what they are typically constructed from? I would imagine not an aluminum alloy.... Maybe the chain tensioner would be?

The chain and sprocket would be steel. The tensioners are white plastic but turn brown as they age and get covered in oil and heat cycled.

Filter element was provided and processed wet and dry.

Final inspection disclosed carbon stains. a very light trace of aluminum flake and no other identifiable metallic material. I suspect but do not limit to, normal piston wear.

Here's the email copy and pasted for the filter analysis.

I think you're fine. You won't know more until your next oil change. My advice is; next time don't do 3 track days before an oil change.

Oil change before every other track day or cut the oil life in half. Which ever comes first.

That's the plan. I didn't really have the ability to do my own a few months back because I lived in the city. I suppose I could have done it on the weekend at a friends place.

I don't really go too nuts on the track either. It's not timed or competitive. And I have a company vehicle that I drive for most of the week.

None the less, I'm going to change the oil more often.

Thanks for all the input guys.
