Installed the MPE on my M240xi today. Had to cut the stock exhaust out, that was it. OEM chrome double wall tips installed and lines up perfectly with the stock diffuser, just like the stock exhaust. Tips are tight and secure. It turned out exactly how I wanted.

Looks fantastic!

I’m going to do the same thing. Quick ?..
When you start the car there is no valve correct like the 235i’s.

There is no valve on the M240i MPE. I've since installed the CF tips, I like both. The black chrome tips are just too stealthy for me.

Wow that looks even better. Are you a big fan of the m performance exhaust vs Dinan?

I haven't heard the Dinan on a 2 series in person. I've been an MPE fan since the e92, they always seemed to strike the right balance for me. I don't like any irritating drone and BMW does a great job at avoiding drone with their MPE's. I've heard that the Dinan is deeper sounding than the MPE on the 2 series. I wouldn't want anything deeper than what the MPE delivers in 8th gear hwy cruising. I'm happy with the MPE on this car, I think it suits it nicely. It's probably the most subtle exhaust up from the stock unit so it depends on how much you want to pump up the volume...and can tolerate.
