Rack, rack, gonna need a roof rack

Damn...spoke with Curt manufacturing on Friday and there is no hitch in the plans now or for awhile so if the 1 series hitch won't fit I have to revert to a roof system. And searching all the rack sites they are not really listing a rack system for the 2 series yet....... I need one in 3 weeks. Who has experimented with bar set ups from other cars on the 2'r?

So far I know that DanG put a factory 1 series rack on a 2 series...any others?

The 3-series rack works.

The official 2 series rack from BMW is 82-71-2-350-212. The rack fits the 2 and 4 series.
