Speaking of ebay crap... I switched the white wing mirror covers to black. Think it looks OK with the black trim on a white car. Couldn't find any decently priced non-pointy type but they don't whistle at least.
Previously ones were "white" which didn't totally match the alpine white paint. Not something anyone would notice but it bothered me. |

Both of ours have the normal (non M2 style) wing mirrors in black, wondering if they're a bit too conservative though?!

Installed the Dinan Intake (closed box). Was looking for a refined increase in intake/engine noise. Unfortunately I have noticed exactly zero change in perceptible noise, response, etc. Considering taking a dremel to the lid to open it up slightly.

Got the 666m 18" replica winter wheels refinished. I think they turned out better than new. Just need to source some cheezy M stickers now.

Personally loving these M style mirror units combined with the smoked out turn signal, looks better than my older sharper carbon pieces. AutoID sells them but you can find them on Ali for cheaper |

I had the car out for a proper rip yesterday and darn the thing is running nice. Smooth and fast.
I recently picked up the Dinan performance springs (w/ rear spring spacers) and the ride quality kit. After some more research and thought I decided to return the items and not lower the car. I think I would really like the look of it but would ultimately take the springs back out based on the drivability. Again I'm torn between doing a bunch more stuff to my car, or plan to get rid of it in the next couple years and move into something different. From a money perspective the current car is an amazing value for what you get in return, not too mention reliability is solid and maintenance is reasonable. But, I really like P-Cars, the new M2 (and the gen 1 M2), G Series M4 convertibles. Aside from a Gen 1 M2 all those other cars are quite the price hike up from current.

Agreed. I have the BMS intake with a Dinan intercooler and the turbo sounds it makes are quite noticeable. It’s much more aggressive sounding than the closed box Dinan intake.

That looks great and makes me wish I was an apple guy. Do you know if this is possible for android auto in an F22?

Trying to pin down a slight wheel rotational vibration mostly only noticeable at 75-80mph. I removed my spacers and it helped with approx. 50% reduction in shaking but they weren't the source. I think maybe a wheel may have thrown a weight or a bearing is on the way out.
These cars with EPS and shorter wheelbase are hard to tell if the vibration is coming from the front or back wheels. I don't do a lot of highway driving so it's not a huge deal. Winter tires will be going on in a couple more months so will hopefully narrow down the source away from the wheels themselves. |
