If you didn't save the 8% you would have to pay it with after-tax dollars so you should compute the tax-equivalent yield. Assuming you are in the 28% tax bracket, that would make your tax-equivalent return (the return you would need before taxes to net 8%) around 11.11%. That's close to the market's non-guaranteed average historical return. If you are in a higher tax bracket, it's even better.
excellent point about the tax equivalent yield

The good thing however is the 2 series is unique enough to where people will not cross shop it with a 3 or 4 series. So although the payments may approach the f30/32 territory, most will not want to make the leap over to the dark, sloppy handling and loose steering side. On the other hand, if you're shopping an f30, and you're payments hit that sweet f10 spot, most folks would want to "upgrade" to the executive level land barge. A 5 series is always more impressive to the inlaws and neighbors.
People will most definitely cross shop the 2,3 and 4. People who want a 4 but can't afford it will look at the 2. People who are looking at a 3 might opt for the 2 if they don't need 4 doors and as much space. People who go in for the 2 will find out they can get a 320 cheaper and go for that

What changed? Residual is still the same, and the 228i is the same.

Just on the M235i? I thought BMW changed their system to that all their cars have the same money factor.

According to GOLFRRR from steve thomas (in the other thread), the rates remain unchanged for April. It shouldn't matter anyway if you have it locked in.

I'm locked, signed, and paid for. I'm just curious why it went up on the website if everything else stayed the same.
