Yeah the Superman combo isn't my style either, but the coral red looks awesome in a MG car. I see you're located in SJ too, have you taken delivery of your car yet? I have yet to see another M235 on the road yet and I live 5 minutes from a BMW dealership haha

Happens all the time. If I blaze past a 3/5/7 series on the freeway, I often see them creeping up the right side, craning their necks to look at the trunk badges to determine what it is. "WTF is that thing and why is it so blaming fast?" |

I grew up in the SF Bay Area, where the BMW insignia is quite common, so I doubt anyone would pay any mind to it. On the other hand I'm now living in south Michigan. Once I get my car in a few weeks I'll be able to comment on the novelty factor for the public. I will say this though, I have yet to see a single two series here.

Friend, immediately noticing the Track Handling Package M Sport brakes, Ferric Grey 18" wheels, and mixed Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber exclaimed "Wow, that's a sporty car! What did you have to pay for it; $80K?"

I knew I had to have a black car because I wanted it to kinda blend in and not stand out, man was I wrong. I'd say very often I see people looking at my car and continue to look as I peel off. I enjoy seeing other BMW owners look at the car while I'm in the parking lot or stopped. I would say the best feeling comes from teenagers complimenting my car at the drive thru, it reminds me of when I gawked over the e46 when I was in high school (back in the old days of 2004).

Some, but I miss waving hello to people driving the same car I am driving. Doesn't seem to happen with this, plus I so rarely see another M235i. But everything on the road is a BMW.
When I had my WRX, or even better, my 1995 240sx, it was much cooler when seeing another one. You instantly knew. When it was another 95-96 240sx you could just see how amazed the other person was. They sold only a few undred of those here. I guess this could happen with a 1M. |
